Call for Nominations: Water Polo NSW Board Seeks Directors to Shape the Sport's Future

Water Polo NSW (WPNSW) is pleased to announce that nominations are now open for Elected Director positions on our Board. We are seeking dedicated individuals to contribute to the governance and strategic direction of water polo in New South Wales.

There will be three (3) Elected Director positions to be decided at the 2024 AGM on 30 November as a result of the expiration of the current terms of Elected Directors Suzanne Ramke, Luke Bouris, Chris Shaw and Emma Gould.

• Positions Available: Three (3) Elected Director positions
• Nomination Deadline: Friday, 1st November 2024 at 4:00 PM AEDT
• AGM Date: Saturday, 30th November 2024 at 10:00 AM AEDT
• AGM Format: Hybrid meeting - both online and in-person options available (venue to be confirmed)

We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in:

• Marketing and Communication
• Information Technology and Cyber Security
• Facility Management
•  Expertise in Regional Water Polo
•  Human Resources
• Government Relations
•  Strategy and Planning

WPNSW is committed to building a diverse and inclusive Board. We strongly encourage nominations from individuals of all backgrounds, particularly those from Regional NSW and across all genders, to help us achieve a gender-balanced Board. This is to assist the Board to achieve its aspirational target that no one gender constitutes more than 50% of the total number of Directors.

Eligibility Criteria: Nominees must have been Individual Members of Water Polo NSW for a minimum of one year prior to the AGM and meet the eligibility requirements detailed in our Constitution. All Directors are required to hold a valid Working with Children Check.
