Water Polo NSW’s Big Saturday in Wagga
Water Polo NSW are getting ready to head to Wagga Wagga this weekend. We have several events planned and would love to see you there!
Olympian Skills Clinic – Players
At this skills clinic athletes will be coached by Olympians Mel & Bec Rippon who will help athletes develop their playing techniques and fundamental skills. Both coaches have a wide range of experience coaching and playing water polo at elite levels.

Olympian Skills Clinic – Coaches
The coach clinic will be run at the same time as the player skills clinic. Coaches that sign up here will be mentored by Olympians Mel & Bec Rippon in helping athletes develop their playing techniques and fundamental skills.
This is a super exciting opportunity as Bec Rippon was the Women's Assistant Coach at the most recent Olympics in Tokyo.

Referee Workshop – Everyone is Welcome!
An interactive session lead by Water Polo NSW’s Head Coach and International FINA referee, Andrew Carney.
This workshop will include a rules refresher (including the latest FINA Water Polo Rule Interpretations), helpful referee hacks, tips for managing challenging coaches and much more!
If you’re a referee or interested in becoming one, this session is perfect for you. We also encourage parents and coaches to attend, as there has been some new rule interpretations this season.

Girls Making Waves
We have a few spaces left in our second Girls Making Waves session. This is a free introductory water polo session for girls aged 7-12 which includes:
- land based skills like throwing and catching
- Shallow water fun and games at the shallow end
- Target practice and shooting at goal
- Floatation assisted games - brightly colored inflatable tubes are a feature of the program and the girls each get one to splash around in for the session
This program is Supported by the Office of Sport’s ‘Her Sport Her Way’ grant program, aimed at reducing barriers to participation, promoting inclusive sport experiences, and growing the game for women and girls.
