The Future of U12 Festivals

Published Tue 08 Aug 2023

In recent years Water Polo NSW has established 4 U12’s Festivals across regional NSW. The Tourney Shield in the Southern Highlands, The Narwhal Cup on the Central Coast, The Banana Bowl in Coffs Harbour and the parents favourite (we’re not sure why..👀🍇), The Big Orange!

The key focus of these events is participation and development of our youngest members, providing opportunity and positive experiences of our sport, building the foundation of what we hope will be a lifelong journey in water polo.

Once established the next phase for these four events is for them to be handed over to the local regional association to run, enabling them to provide participation opportunities and development for their own members and others from across the state. The next step for WPNSW will be to establish U12’s Festivals in new regions, growing and strengthening accessible opportunities for this grass roots age group from all regions of NSW.
