VALE - Les Kay

Published Wed 17 Apr 2019

WPNSW are saddened to hear the loss of Les Kay. Inducted as a life member of Water Polo NSW Inc in 1990, Les coached at the highest level through many decades of selfless duty.

Les significantly contributed to the sport and helped grow the next generation of elite water polo athletes through the state junior program and at the elite level. In particular, Les achieved numerous back to back titles with NSW from 1973-77 and then again from 1981-85.

Peter Kerr stated, “Les was also a friend and mentor and a great character who added depth to our lives. The great loss that Tina and his family feels today is our loss.”

Les had an enormous impact on the national water polo community and will remembered forever.

WPNSW send our condolences to Les’ family.
