WPNSW Call for Expression of Interest for Nomination as an Elected Director Candidate

Water Polo NSW (WPNSW) is inviting expressions of interest for the position of Elected Director of the Board of Water Polo NSW.
WPNSW is the governing body for the sport of water polo in NSW. There are over 7,000 registered water polo members in NSW.
The WPNSW Board of Directors plays a critical role in supporting the CEO and enabling the organisation to achieve its goals across strategy, risk management, governance and financial performance.
Our Mission is to create engaging, affordable and accessible water polo for all.

Expressions of interest are sought from members of our community who have a genuine desire to commit their time and capabilities to enhance the work of WPNSW and help us grow to 8,000 members in NSW by 2025.
The WPNSW Board of Directors is seeking to complement its existing membership with the following specialist skills and experience:
- Coach Development
- Sponsorship and Partnership
- Diversity and Inclusion
Applicants should also have one or more of the following:
- Board / Governance experience
- Fundraising experience
- Marketing and Communications experience
- High Performance Sport understanding
- Community Sport experience
- Financial performance experience
- Legal knowledge
- Government Relations knowledge
- Business experience
Expression of interest AND Nomination Forms should be submitted before 11.59pm (AEST) Thursday 29th June 2023.
There are three (3) Director positions to be elected at the 2023 WPNSW AGM, as per clause 17.7(c) of the WPNSW Constitution.
Please note these Director positions are voluntary roles. You must also be a registered member of a Water Polo NSW club to apply for an Elected Director position, as per clause 17.3 of the WPNSW Constitution.
We welcome applications from non-male and regional members.
EOIs received will be reviewed by the WPNSW Nominations Committee and those whose candidacy is recommended will be provided to members no later than seven days prior to the AGM to be held on Thursday 3rd August 2023.
