WPNSW Strategic Plan 25

Published Tue 01 Mar 2022

It is with great pleasure WPNSW shares our Strategic Plan 2025. We have developed a plan that works to show harmony and common direction with the other States and WPA, while also keeping our members and clubs at the forefront of what we do as an organisation and a sport.

We have come out of an unprecedented period and seen the passion and desire for members to reconnect with water polo, their teammates, their clubs and ultimately their community. It is by keeping this in mind with everything we do we look to grow the presence of water polo in NSW while ensuring the sport remains affordable and accessible.

Our Mission " To create engaging and accessible water polo for all"

Our mission is uniquely NSW and is our focus for the now. It reflects our desire to ensure water polo is not just a sport but part of the community wherever it exists. It's to be enjoyed no matter where you live, how you identify, where you've come from, or at what level you want to be involved.

Our Vision "Make our sport, your sport"

Our vision is shared amongst many other States and WPA. It is important that while we strive to better NSW that we don't lose sight that our sport is bigger than any one state. We will always strive to be the best, but we will always endeavour to help those around us on the journey. We want to see more collaboration and we want to see more and more people across the country get involved and fall in love with our sport.

This plan provides our water polo community an understanding of the direction of WPNSW over the coming years. My staff and I will be working passionately to ensure everything we do and deliver works with the highlighted strategic priorities front of mind. From new entry points to the sport, a wider reach across the state, clear pathways for social and performance players and officials, and an aim to improve infrastructure constraints through greater partnerships, relationships, and hopefully one day a venue(s) of our own.

To wrap up a major work piece in a small news article some words from our President Suzanne Ramke on behalf of the WPNSW Board says,

"We have great ambition for the sport of water polo in NSW, and are focusing on inspiring growth - in membership, in awareness and interest, and in the value of media rights and partnerships.

Water Polo NSW is committed to ensuring our actions, competitions, events and initiatives keep our participants at the centre of what we deliver. We live the values and breathe life into the behaviours because we know water polo can be enjoyed no matter what age, identity, background or lived experiences one has."

We all look forward to the journey ahead of us and the challenges we will overcome combined with the successes we will all share along the way.
