WPNSW Strategic Update 2023

To Create Engaging, Affordable and Accessible Water Polo for All

Water Polo New South Wales announces second strategic update of our 2025 Strategic Plan.

We remain committed to our mission to create engaging, affordable and accessible water polo for all. Over the past 12 months WPNSW has had  great success in achieving and working towards many of our strategic objectives.

This 2023 update realigns our office team and sport to ensure the next 12 months continue to drive growth and development across our 5 strategic pillars:

  • Empower
  • Develop
  • Play
  • Perform
  • Prosper

WPNSW would like to extend our gratitude to our board of directors who have led our organisation over the past 12 months to ensure WPNSW continues to lead our community.

'The Board’s view for the first 12 months as we transitioned to the new National Strategic Framework, was to set reasonable and achievable priorities, to motivate the Operations team to deliver on our mission to create engaging, affordable and accessible water polo for all.

We continue to extend the boundaries of our strategic direction, while priorities remain focused on the needs and expectations of our participants and clubs. We are also focused on sustaining our current participation rates and growing participation in parts of NSW where greater barriers exist or participation is low' said Suzanne Ramke, President.

It is important to WPNSW that we lead the growth and development of water polo in Australia but while doing this that we share our learnings with all. Our strategic vision is aligned across the country, ‘To Make Our Sport, Your Sport’ and WPNSW wants to help all members, clubs and states achieve this.

We have achieved a lot but we are passionate to empower our members to strive to achieve even more success in providing opportunities at all levels of our sport. The team and WPNSW look forward to the next 12 months.
