U12's - The Big Orange

The U12 Festival is a participation tournament designed to wet the appetities of our youngest members. The festival's focus is development in a fun and friendly environment. It is the perfect opportunity to start developing young Coaches and Referees as well as players. Water Polo NSW confirms that The Big Orange U12’s Festival is deemed a Formal Competition/Activity. As per the Water Polo Australia National Membership and Registration Policy, all participants are required to be registered in a payment class linked to the WPA Platinum Capitation Fee to be eligible for the event.

Team Entry

  • Team Entry Fee = $800.00 (excl. GST) 

  • Team Entry Opens 7th February 2025 

  • Team Entry Closes 20th February 2025 

*Teams Must Pay Entry Fee before entry Closes (20th Feb) to be considered. 

Draw will be avaible on the 28th Febraury 2025

 

Player eligibility

Water Polo NSW confirms that The Big Orange U12’s Festival is deemed a Formal Competition/Activity. As per the Water Polo Australia National Membership and Registration Policy, all participants are required to be registered in a payment class linked to the WPA Platinum Capitation Fee to be eligible for the event.

 

Referees:

Each team is required to nominate a qualified referee when submitting their team entry.

 All referees are welcome to participate. To express your interest, submit your details through the link below.

If you’re seeking mentorship or have completed the necessary prerequisites and are ready for assessment, please contact us at referees@waterpolonsw.org.au.

All referee modules and courses are available free of charge to members through the Water Polo Australia Learning Pool, accessible with your club’s RevSport login. This event is a great opportunity to gain experience and build confidence in refereeing. 

 

Officals:

Each team is required to provide a qualified Table Official for their game (excluding medal games). 

  • The home team is responsible for managing the game clock. 

  • The away team is responsible for completing the scorecard. 

A Table Officials course is available on the Water Polo Australia Learning Pool, accessible through your club’s RevSport login. This course covers the basics of water polo and how to properly write scorecards, making it an excellent introduction for new players.
